This pizza oven was constructed in the Waldo neighborhood in Kansas City, MO with collaboration from fellow artists Rena Detrixhe and Casey Whittier. It continues to act as a gathering space for communal cooking and eating.
Over the course of one main building week, the oven engaged neighbors and students from the Kansas City Art Institute by offering opportunities to learn about building with cob. For more documentation of those interactions, check out the Waldo Neighborhood Cob Oven – Workshops page.
